An Illustration of the Shoulder (#7)

Description: A common quote used to highlight the importance of visual tools is that "a picture is worth a thousand words". Complicated components can often be better understood by audiences through a visual illustration rather than a multitude of words. In this assignment, the anterior (or frontal) anatomy of the shoulder-- and specifically the biggest muscle that comprises the rotator cuff-- is present in the form of a drawing. Drawings are one of the many visual techniques that scientific communicators can effectively utilize to help their audience understand a scientific concept.
